The start of Summer 2010

So here is the run down of the last few months....We have been supper busy with Rob finishing up his first semester of nursing school, which he did awesome at! I finished my first year of teaching preschool and loved it all! It was a really busy semester for us both, but we were able to really enjoy what we were doing! As soon as Rob was done with his last final we headed for Nephi to enjoy a long weekend of traveling. Rob's cousin Catherine was married Kris (the new in-law) on May 1st in the Portland Oregon Temple. We took the challenge and drove with Lauren, Rob's mom, the 15 hour-in-a-day drive and loved every minute of it! It was a gorgeous wedding that went perfectly.

On the drive home we decided to stop and see some of the way cool sights we had passed along the way. This is Multnomah Falls which was so gorgeous. On the drive up Rob warned us like 30-45 miles before we came to this that there was a huge fall up ahead that he remembered from the last time he had made the treck up to his cousins. The last time he made the drive-at least 10 years ago! But he was right and after what seemed like forever of looking we came across this gorgeous water fall. So we decided to make this our first adventure on the ride home. It was totally worth it!

Our second stop was this huge grove of Maple trees. When we passed it on the way up we were amazed at how many trees there were! It was pretty much these trees as far as you could see off the side of the interstate. We stopped, did some running through them and got these sweet pictures to prove that we had been there. :) Yes it does look like I'm pooping Rob out, but I'm actually hanging on the tree for dear life! It's alot harder to do than you would think!

A few hours later I was woken up to find out that we were stopping at these huge yellow flower farms. (Luckily for me, I was able to sleep alot of the way home, that long in the car is hard on your bum)For those of you out there that know what these are, or what they are for...shed some light please? Whatever they were, we ran through them, covered ourselves in the yellow pollen, and were back in the car!

I should take a minute here to tell you that this was definately one of the most fun trips that I have ever taken! Rob and I totalled 35 hours over the weekend in the car, but we were all laughing, sleeping, laughing and just really enjoying ourselves! It was so much fun, and we loved seeing all of Lauren's family. It was definately a great way to start of our vacation filled summer!

This is the last of the many pictures taken on the drive. Rob loves doing 'artsy-fartsy' pictures wherever we go...this we some of the best ones!
