Yep I'm going to start from toadyish and not worry about the thousands of pictures that I should post about. This past weekend was pretty monumental for our family. We celebrated our 6th anniversary! Seriously where does the time go? The good news is that I remember how many years we've been married. Last night at a Relief Society activity one of the ladies I was talking to said she thinks it's been 8 years, but honestly she couldn't remember :) We as in Rob, ran his first 1/2 marathon! ( I say we because I feel like I should get some credit for him being out training all the long crazy hours of running and me being at home or picking him up or dropping him off, I am his #1 supporter) His goal was to get under 1 hour 30 minutes which is stinkin fast! that would be running less than a 7 minutes mile for the full 13.1 miles. And he did it. His final time was 1:27:10 as you can see from the picture! I went up and met him at the finish line and couldn't have been more proud :) He rocked it! The neat thing about the race, besides his incredible time (I'm a proud wifey), was that he was able to run with a team from the hospital that ran in memory of Drake. Last December Sammy and her family were sledding when Drake was in an accident and passed away. This family has been such a rock and it was just awesome to be able to be a part of this experience, running for him. I can't imagine losing a child, but am grateful for the gospel and the knowledge that I will see my loved ones again.
So after we got home, we headed up to the Hoogle Zoo with some great friends of ours, Kent and Alyssa and their two boys Nathan and Owen. They came and spent the weekend with us while Kent had a training at the hospital and we decided Saturday would be a good day to visit the zoo. We were right, everyone loved it :)
