Find the Joy

As I had the chance to spend time in the Phoenix AZ temple yesterday I couldn't help but feel how important it is to find joy in our lives. Specifically in my life, and the time I spend with my kiddos (affectionately nicknamed by Rob as the orphans) Life is tricky with 3 under the age of 6 and with the thought of adding another one it's hard to remember to find joy and really enjoy the little things in life. Joy is one of things I thought I understood, and then I had Kylie. Eye opening experience! Add Max and Dane and my definition of joy is so different than even 7 years ago. I love that my Heavenly Father has shared my kids with me so I could have the chance to taste in the sweet joy that comes from being a mom. There is a lot of trust and understanding that He has in me, and I think He knew that I would need the reminder Saturday to find joy in my kids. Oh how I love them, and want to run and hide sometimes. Lets be honest, being a mom is hard work, the best most rewarding hard work. So my goal this week is to enjoy my orphans. They are a blessing in my life.
So without further adue, here's our week in pictures.
Just enJOYing our last few opportunities to cuddle with dad after our mid day naps.
Pre-hair cut for Dane. He looks like such a different kid without all that hair.

Post hair! All grown up

Another one to show off his grown up ness
A sister in our ward told us about an awesome free splash pad not too far from here so we ventured out on Monday. Ky and Max loved it instantly and even made a few friends while we were there. Dane took a little longer to decide how he felt, but in the end they were all happy we went!

My Saturday helper. I'm not sure why we is only in a diaper, but he spends a majority of his time in a diaper  or onsie. It's just too stinking hot to expect him to wear all his clothes. That being said, he is a pretty cute helper.

The Phoenix temple is SO beautiful inside and out! I love that we are able to be close to the temple again so we can enjoy the blessings of serving there. This is definitely the House of the Lord and I'm grateful I can feel His presence while I'm there.

Funny story, Rob just got a new bike so he could ride to school instead of drive and this week he got a flat tire. Unfortunately I was at the library (which is the coolest one I think I've ever been in) and didn't get his text about it so he had to walk in the 110* weather to get it fixed at the bike shop. A few days later talking on the phone to his mama about it he made a comment about how his bike should be good to go now and that he wasn't expecting another flat. Enter a 2nd flat tire! At least this time I could help him out. So we're hoping that with both tires fixed this week we really should be good to go, knock on wood ;)
We hope your week is awesome and that you can take time to find joy in whatever your adventure is this week.
