We've had a few busy good weeks! The kids and I were able to go up to Utah for a little over a week for weddings, showers and family fun time. It was so nice to come back into the Nephi valley! Oh how I missed it there! Everything was SO green, and even though everyone said it was hot, it was the most beautiful weather. Every morning I would go sit out on the front porch or out in the back yard and enjoy the cool crisp weather as the sun would climb over mount Nebo. It was beautiful and so refreshing! While in Utah, we were able to go to a cousins bridal shower, a different cousins wedding reception and our good friend Karson Dansie's wedding and reception. It was so fun to see family and friends and catch up on what they've been doing for the summer. And randomly we saw one of my cousins on the Taylor side at the Derby in Nephi! So crazy!
We got home and Kylie started kindergarten. This mama wasn't ready for it, but she sure was. She did so aweomse and has loved it. We walk her to school in the mornings and chat about what she thinks she's going to learn about that day, who she will play with; it is so fun to see the world through her eyes. It has been a pretty big adjustment for us at home, Kylie really is one of my best friends and I've had a hard time not having her around. Don't get me wrong, the boys are fun, but the best part of my day is when I see her come out the door and know that I get to spend the next few hours with her. Max is adjusting to being the oldest at home by torturing Dane as often as he can. But every now and again he and Dane play together nicely and my mama heart swells. I love being a mom and having the chance to learn and grow and teach the kids.
Rob finished his first quarter of CRNA school!!! Woot woot!! He passed, which we all knew he would, so to celebrate we surprised the kids with a trip to the beach in San Diego. It was amazing. The kids absolutely loved it, and so did Rob and I. It was so nice to have him be around full time and not have to be worrying about studying for the next class. We spent two full days at the beach and just relaxing with my toes in the sand was amazing! On the 2nd day we rented a body board and you would have thought it was Christmas morning for Rob! He was so giddy, I can't help but smile thinking about it. he caught some huge waves, took the kids for a ride and caught some even bigger waves. I don't think he minded at all getting home late so he could play a few extra hours. I can't help but smile as I think about the last few weeks and all the adventures we've been on, memories we've made. Family is the most important thing in life and I'm grateful to get to on this journey with mine. So enjoy our picture overload, until next time!
