Donut shops are all over the place here, so naturally our first morning with Rob we had to get some...so delicious
Fly away Dane, he LOVES this!
Checking out the Black Bayou, alligator infested waters
As if it wasn't enough to walk through the area where the alligators are seen regularly (although we haven't seen any yet, its on our LA Bucket list) we decided to go canoeing! It was so much fun!
Fishing
Our trip to Baton Rouge! The primary president set it up with the temple to let the kids come down, meet with the temple presidency and let the kids walk around the temple and go in it! It was such an awesome experience for our kiddos, and for all of us to be in the temple together!
We kept asking where a good 'southern cookin' place was to eat dinner and ended up finding this little place that was delicious! And naturally we had to try the alligator...Kylie wasn't too sure, Max only ate one piece, Dane eats everything but copied the older kids which meant more for Rob and I. And it was so good, kind of a mixture between fish and chicken...definitely going to try it again!
The closest Costco is in Baton Rouge, so I took the kids and picked up some essentials. Its definitely good for my budget that its 3 plus hours away!
Little miss got her first 'piggy tail' I use the term lightly on account of the amount of hair she has. But she sure is a cutie.
And this is how we do laundry around here. For the first time ever we don't have a washing machine or dryer at our disposal, so to save money (we are students after all) we decided to hang dry all our clothes! And my room now looks like this 1-2 days a week!
