This week has been one for the books! So many bucket list items to knock off. We checked out the library, and the ladies were AWESOME!! They asked what the kids were interested in and read them stories and helped us find almost 30 books that the kids would be interested in. It was so cool! And then on the way home we found a food truck with Beignets... They were so delicious. Definitely going to have to try them out again, like every time we see them!
On Saturday we ran a race for the cure to help find a cure for breast cancer. It meant something for us as we have family that has fought breast cancer. And having Aunt Sherry to think about during the race made it all the more meaningful.
The older kids ran a 1 mile race with Rob and Rob and I did a 5k. We laughed that this was our first date since we got here. I'll take it though. Date night, plus exercising with my main squeeze is a win win in my book! Mom fail was not seeing the kids finish, they ran faster than I was anticipating and ran thru the golden arches before I noticed. Oops, next time guys!
There were groups of cheerleaders along the path and my favorite cheer was
S A V E! S A V E! S A V E! The tetes! Yep, that was what they were cheering. Laugh Out Loud!
Another fun adventure was holding alligators...not on the bucket list. But it definitely needs to be. In case you were wondering she is fearless! And I wish everyday I was more like her. If there is a bug you can guarantee that I call for her to come get it. I love that she could share this with Rob. So fun!I however was not a huge fan, and might not have dared to hold one. It was not what I expected it to feel like, it was surprisingly smooth and soft. Not hard, scaly, rough...gross! I couldn't do it, maybe next time I'll be as brave as my little girl.
I love Max's progression. He, like his mom, wasn't a fan at first. We had to ease him into holding it and then he loved it. And tried to attack Rob with it. I loved watching him work thru his fear and hope that I can be as brave as him next time.
I love Dane's face. He really didn't mind holding the alligator, until it moved. 'Dad please take it, take it, take it, take it!!' (raise your voice an octave with each take it) haha What a kid!

The wild life reserve had an awesome boardwalk to go check out the country. It's amazing how green everything is here! It is beautiful!
So our week has been good. We are loving being here, have started looking for housing at the next place (I'm telling ya, one foot in, one foot out) and are planning out our next few weeks so we can see everything we want to before we leave the area. Here's to week 5! Life's Great!
